About APT

The constraint was never the talent. It was always the match.

APT was built on a single observation: the professionals best suited for transformation work are systematically filtered out by the processes companies use to hire for it.

Standard recruiting selects for performance under assessment conditions. Structured interviews. Prepared questions. Credentials that match a template. These conditions have almost nothing in common with what transformation work actually requires - and the 40 to 60% failure rate in senior transformation hires is the predictable result.

APT exists to fix the structural mismatch, not the candidates.

What we believe

Cognitive diversity is not a social initiative. It is a performance advantage.

High-edge cognitive profiles - those characterised by hyperfocus, strong ambiguity tolerance, rapid pattern recognition, and high output in novel environments - are disproportionately well-suited to the conditions that define transformation roles. The research is clear. The business case is arithmetic. What has been missing is the infrastructure to match these profiles to the roles where they outperform.

That infrastructure is APT.

What makes APT different

We are not a diversity recruiter. We are not a generalist search firm with a neurodiversity practice attached. We are a specialist cognitive matching platform operating exclusively in senior transformation roles.

The difference is methodological. Where others filter by credentials, we match by cognitive fit. Where others present shortlists, we present structured cases with predicted retention probabilities. Where others close the mandate at the offer, we support the placement for 90 days.

Where we operate

APT is based in Zurich and operates across the DACH region, with expansion into the broader European market as the platform scales.

We work with a deliberately small number of companies at any one time. Quality of match is the only metric that matters to us - and it requires depth, not volume.

The broader context

The WEF Future of Jobs Report 2025 identifies resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and adaptability as the fastest-growing skills demanded globally through 2030. These are not generic competencies. They are the cognitive traits that high-edge profiles carry by default - and that the companies running the next decade of transformation will need urgently.

A 2025 EY study confirmed that professionals with non-linear cognitive styles are 55% more likely to use AI tools effectively and hold disproportionate proficiency in the skills WEF identifies as most critical. The AI era does not disadvantage this cohort. It amplifies them.

The people who will rebuild the economy over the next decade are already in the workforce. They are just in the wrong seats. APT puts them in the right ones.
